Why Choose to Study at the Christ Church School of the Arts?

What do CCSArts students have in common?
Passion. Creativity. Ingenuity. Won't you join us?

There are many advantages to studying at CCSArts!

Among the most compelling reasons is the fact that, although instrumental education has been cut significantly in our local public schools, CCSArts is able to provide students with the tools needed to develop their instrumental skills beyond the classroom, and prepare them for advanced study in college.

CCSArts provides each student with weekly, one-on-one, private instrumental instruction with educated and experienced musicians, all at an extremely reasonable cost.

CCSArts has 6 dedicated instructors, all of whom are working musicians, who collectively bring over 100 years of experience to the classroom!

CCSArts is centrally located in Norwich, CT and is the only community based music school in the city.

CCSArts brings together a wide variety of families and individuals from throughout southeastern Connecticut: our students come from all backgrounds, with amazingly diverse interests and talents.

CCSArts currently supports two scholarship students annually, and enrolls a roster of individuals between the ages of 5 - 85!

CCSArts has instituted a Choral Scholarship program for high school musicians interested in advancing their choral studies and skills.

Lessons are tailored to the individual and are held year-round: this is for continuity's sake and, more importantly, because CCSArts students request it!

CCSArts strives to keep the Arts alive in the local community by providing free concerts and events each year, and by being a proud member of civic and national organizations devoted to creativity and education.

CCSArts is a hidden gem that folks are still discovering. In September, the School will begin its third year of providing high level, affordable music instruction to Norwich and the surrounding areas.

Studying an instrument prepares children for the future. Music skills contribute to an individual's self esteem, creative thinking, communication skills AND they help in maintaining mental lucidity and dexterity in advancing years. Music nourishes both mind and body - what's not to love?!
